Death penalty and racism
One of the most significant issues associated with death penalty is the injustice of racial minorities. There are studies have imply that defendants of minorities groups took up a large proportion in the United States and those who made the conviction to criminals are mostly white. Furthermore, those results established that black victims are more likely to be executed than white victims. For example, in Philadelphia, eighty-three per cent of criminals who are sentenced to death are African-black. The researchers against death penalty even indicate that the injustice treatment of blacks has been experienced for a long period, compare other defendants, black victims were obviously more likely to get death sentence in the year between 1983 and 1993.
