Execution is costly
There is an assumption that capital punishment is far more costly than imprisonment of criminals which is accepted by most countries. Researches have indicate that, in the USA, the real cost of capital punishment is even more costly than conviction of prisoning the whole life of criminals. It was estimated that the execution system spend $137 million annually and a maximum of life imprisonment only cost less than one-tenth of it. Compare to other alternative convictions of criminals, the legal system spend most on death penalty during the process of trial. Despite the procedure of trial, putting a criminal in death row further requires investigation of crimes which may take a long period. For instance, experts against capital punishment have demonstrate that execution association in Texas(a state of United States) have considerable amount of cost in the last century which involes$530 million for all execution cases and extra one million dollars to sentence to death of a criminal in death row. Apart from the fact in Texas, it is believed that the implementation of capital punishment have a large amount of unnecessary expense in other states as well. It is time for the USA to reconsider feasibility of death penalty.
